What’s your favourite weather joke or motto? “You have to put up with the rain to see the rainbow!” photo by Megan Hemsworth @Mother Ivy's Bay I have never been good at writing, nor am I fan of reading - in fact , I don't even think I finished reading my GCSE English literature book before going into the exam. So when I received a direct message on Instagram from Surf Girl magazine asking for an interview, instead of my first thought being 'OMG ek' it was... 'Oh god... please can someone sense check what I write before I send my answers off'. (Actually this seems quite rich now I'm writing a blog post on it... but hey bare with!) I honestly was so nervous waiting for the questions. I have no idea why but then when the questions arrived in my inbox I couldn't wait to get writing and share my journey with others! Thank you Surf Girl Magazine for featuring me on your website and Instagram feed - a truly inspiring magazine full of all thin...
This review is special one because not only are Surf Sistas a dream to holiday with, BUT, this trip was where Kat’s Surf Forecasts came about. Finishing a glorious surf with the girls, I decided to share my idea of the channel and there and then we filmed the first clip that featured on my first ever YouTube video. Lucy - you are the best. The weekend took place at the famous surfing beach Fistral Beach, Newquay. Luckily for me this is just a short hour and a bit away, but Surf Sistas have nailed it by including coach travel from London Victoria on Friday even...
Tune in now, before Kat disappears to present the weather on Sky News. Surfer Dad is a blog written by...well...Surfer Dad. A blog dedicated to all things surfing by a wave starved father living in Cornwall. Now this feature was a pretty cool one; titled '4 alternatives to Magic Seaweed', I was pretty shocked when Surfer Dad asked me for a few lines to include on his recommendations! Now I love MSW - the way they have made surf data so accessible and readable for anyone is brilliant, however it doesn't mean it's the only source of data as highlighted by Surfer Dad's article here ! Thank you Surfer Dad for the feature and I hope you get to surf as much as possible this summer! Have a read: alternatives-magic-seaweed
